I was wondering what all you can tell me about the town. Also, are there any outdoor tracks the public can use? Thanks in advance

I live in Spicewood. There really isn't a town per se. No city government that I know of.

As for outdoor tracks - you may be able to use the track at Lake Travis high school. Not sure if it is open or not when the school is not using it. The new middle school (that opens fall of 2014) may also have a track. Again - I don't know if the facilities are open for use or not.

I agree that it's not really a "town". It's more of an extension of Bee Cave and Lakeway which is what I would consider "Lake Travis" as the school district is called. Spicewood has some areas of acreage, and also has a couple of Master Planned Communities. Lake Travis ISD is rated Exemplary.

Can you let us know what actual questions you have, beyond general information?

Where is the closest place you can take Zumba and Yoga classes? Are there any good massage therapists in the area? Is the Bee Cave HEB or Marble Falls HEB better? I have an 11 and 12 year old. What are some good places for them to hang out and have fun at?

Zumba and Yoga and Pole Dancing and Crossfit stuff is all available around or at the Hill Country Galleria. Never been to the Marble Falls HEB as I would deem that "way too far".

There aren't really any "hang out" places except the skate park within Lakeway, Pace Bend Park near Briarcliff (in Spicewood), the movie theatre at the Galleria, or the other several parks in the area.

There's a new Guitar Putt Putt place that will be opening soon next to the Nitro Swim on 71. That is geared for the pre-teen and high schoolers where they can listen to bands their own age, plus play putt putt and other games. It's meant to become a hang out and family place. Still building it...

Lots of kids hang out at Bee Cave Galleria - though I don't know if you are the type to let your kids roam an outdoor shopping mall. When my kids were that age - they were activity focused. Competitive sports for example. They would "hang out" at someone's house with a pool, or a lake.

It is 5 miles almost exactly on 71 from Bee Creek Rd. to 620. I would not go the other way to buy groceries.

Just moved here. Couldn't tell you anything about it. Seems like we have to drive to the Galleria for most things.
