Hi,
My husband and I are getting ready to (maybe, LOL) make an offer on a house in Steiner Ranch that is zoned to Laura Welch Bush Elementary School. I went to the website and it said that they are not taking 'transfers' there for the 12-13 school year.

Does this mean my kids will not be able to go? Or is this referring to only people not zoned to that school who attend it? Where would my kids go instead?

I'm somewhat concerned about this...

Becca

No. If your house is zoned to Bush, that is where you will go. It means that they are not accepting kids who live in areas that are zoned to other schools.

BTW, I live in Steiner (not zoned to Bush, but very familiar with it). It is really a top-notch school (which is why so many people want to transfer there). I think you will love it.

That's only applicable for students with an intra-district transfer from another school. If you're "zoned" for that school, all you have to.do is register and you're good to go.
