Having just moved here from Florida, I REALLY miss this one mom-and-pop Japanese place over in West Palm Beach:

Cha-Cha Japanese Cafe - Restaurant - Royal Palm Beach, FL - Info | Facebook

We've been to Origami, Ka Prow but I havent found ANYTHING similar to what they served. It was just FULL of flavors. He loves Chashumen, Katsudon and Tonkatsu. I'm a vegetarian and they had a great great great veggie ramen for me. Everything we've tried here is just...meh.

Any recommendations?

Is it open? I drive past it everyday and it never seems to be open. Edited to add that it closes between lunch and dinner service which explains why I never see it open.

Limited hours. Check before you go. Sit at the sushi bar. The experienced sushi chefs have logged time at many of the local hotspots over the years. Down to earth and unpretentious. Yeah, I was blown away too when it opened up. What once was a tejano divebar, methinks?!? Welcome to the neighborhood!

Thumbs up I second this motion

Fell in love with this couple and their Sushi-A-Go-Go trailer when it popped up in Rosedale a while back(it has since moved again/closed?). OP, Kome may just be exactly what the doctor ordered!

We went on a Friday night so it was super packed. They don't offer their lunch menu at dinner time so we were a bit let down at not being able to try their ramen or katsudon dishes, we are going to try to go back this Saturday at lunch to see how it is then. I was happy that they have kampyo there which surprisingly many Japanese sushi restaurants do not offer (Kampyo is like a pickled squash, adds a meaty like substance to veggie roll).
