Hello, Austin ... Thought I was leaving Connecticut & relocating to STL/Missouri but in a strange turn of events I am now returning to Austin! I have a couple of questions: Did the toll booths get put in? If yes, what roads did the city put them on? I heard light rail was voted in ... if this is true, will it be going up Mopac?? Thank you, very much, for all answers!! ( :

Toll roads are all over the place. Check out www.capmetro.org, it has the toll road plans, I think. Also, light rail is a 'starter' system. It will run from the Leander area down 183 for a ways, then cut over to the Burnet rd area and then south into downtown. It will run only twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon, maybe a lunch run. Stops are to be limited (don't know how may). I do not live in that area, but it may be useful to use if you work downtown and live out NW (which I don't).
