I will like to see augusta get something else beside the master that help them stand out like other cities. We don't hardly have anything to do in augusta but go to the mall out to eat, catch a movie or bowling after that I guess go to wal-mart then back to work. We need more choices beside what we have here in augusta. When you can't do all the so call fun things in augusta in one day its something wrong. I think the commissioners cause augusta to be were it is today. We need something to make peoples look at augusta different

Population is why we will not get an amusement park, plus our proximity to 2 of them puts us in a pickle. I would love to see one but no one would put up the money to build one with 6 flags and Carowinds so close.

An amusement park will not work but a large water park would thrive in Augusta.

Because Augusta will not support it. Augusta could not support Krystal River, Duffers, Starcadia, Planet Extreme and Putt Putt Golf. Funsville could not even make it in Augusta. The gangs and rampant crime would run an amusement park into the ground. If you need proof, go to the Georgia Carolina State Fair this fall.

Please go troll somewhere else.... We already know this is the usual suspect...

There's still a Put Put located in the area... Krystal River closed becuase the owner's premium jumped from $8,000 to $58,500 a month. .

Funsville is still here and it's now called Adventure Crossing.. The owners expanded tthe place when they changed the name a while back..

If we ever get a water park do you think they need to add it to the adventure crossing or build it by it self if so what would be a good location. I think we can really support a water park or a small amusement park then add on as we grow

You could go to the water park at YMCA. Anyways, Augusta has a strong enough population and economy to support Krystal River, but its not gonna happen. That place is in Cola County. And those people don't want anything in Cola County.

What exactly do people in Columbia County not want??? Its not like someone could open the place up next month. The place is in ruins, there is nothing there. I remember going to Krystal River as a kid. It was a really fun place. But the economy took its toll on it. $58,000 a month for insurance, up from 8,000! No business could handle that increase on top of other expenses.
If it was still viable to open up then somebody might put up the money to reopen the place but that starting from scratch will cost a lot of money and right now I dont think there are too many investors willing to take that risk.
I agree with the comment about maybe adding slowly to Adventure Crossing. I would like to see Adventure Crossing continue to work on the $8 million renovation and build the indoor sports facility. Whoever is the first to build one of those in this area will make a killing.

They could perhaps eventually offer facilities like skyzone, WhirlyBall, Game Works, Hangar 18, Planet Rock, or evn perhaps something like a avalanchebay . Once you create more "tourist" spots more seem to follow. I think they may eventually follow once the internal frame work of improvements are built.
