Hi all I need some recommendations for good restaurants near the Perimeter Mall area. I think entrees in the $10-20 range would be fine. The type of food we don't really mind. We want a nice atmosphere - not too loud but enough activity to make it seem fun. We'll be a group of 30-something women going out to dinner and prefer to not be at a family style restaurant. Also, if possible, we prefer to not do chains. We don't mind a regioal chain but, national chains are pretty much a no-no for us. If you have links that would be great. I hope that's enough info to give me some good recommendations.

thanks!

La Grotta Ristorante Italiano is a local chain of Italian. My friend really likes it.

offNew is close by, maybe 10 minutes away from Perimeter Mall. I know that the name is a brewery, but the food is really good.

Buckhead Restaurant Gift Card, Buckhead Gift Certificates - Seasons 52 is a chain, but with an interesting concept that the entrées are under 500 calories.

Seasons 52 is very nice and is right by Perimeter Mall. But, try to make a reservation if possible because it's pretty popular.

There are a lot of choices over there. There seems to be a large number of steakhouses in the neighborhood.

Joey D's Oakroom is a local, very popular steakhouse.
Wildfire Grill is great. A 1930's style chop house, literally next door to Seasons 52.
Fire of Brazil if you want to have gaucho's slice your meat!
McKendricks is another nice place, right in front of the mall.

After dinner, you may want to go across the street to a nice shopping center called Park Place for an after dinner coffee at Cafe Intermetzo - great place.

wow, you guys gave some great suggestions. I heard about that Joey D's maybe if they want steak we'll go there.

Have any of you ever been to Goldfish? H2S

That season's 52 looked really good though and I like the idea of local/fresh ingredients

At Park Place (across from Perimeter Mall), there's also Eclipse de Luna (kind of loud, but fun), Twisted Taco, and McKendrick's (steaks, business-y type atmosphere).

Don't overlook Savu at the W Hotel Perimeter. "Hip" atmosphere and delish Asian food.

I personally think that Seasons 52 is too expensive for what you get and the food is pretty good, but not outstanding. JMHO.

If you're considering Joey D's, The Tavern at Phipps (same company- very similar menu) tends to be better. Maybe 10 mins away, if that.

Halo - Yes, I've been to goldfish and I liked it - very much.

There is another good seafood place across the street from the Mall, very near the Dunwoody train station. It's called Chequers. Also very nice.

As you can see, there are lots of choices in the neighborhood!
