I heard auto insurance has skyrocketed..never expected my six months of policy to be over $1,000. I live in Gwinnett. 70 yo female, widowed, no violations or accidents. Long time Stare Farm. Is anyone else’s this high?

You have to shop around. Insurance companies do this all the time, bait you in with a low rate and then jack you the following year. Every year or two I have to move to a new carrier to get the rate back down to normal.

Auto insurance rates are based on zip code/state. If there is a hike in auto accidents, everyone's premium goes up county and state wide. Gwinnett has some of the worst accidents I have ever seen. Frequently too.

I live in Gwinnett County. My insurance rate for 2 vehicles spiked over $2,100 for 6 months! I called Progressive Insurance and removed everything from my policy except liability. My rate is now under $1,000 every 6 months for 2 cars. I'm done paying high car insurance premiums.
