Peachtree City! about 30 minutes south of the airport with tons of awesome restaurants! gorgeous community, safe, tons of families, and wonderful vibe.
You could also check out Trilith in Fayetteville, about 30 minutes as well south of the airport -a really cool hub of entertainment, shopping, and food:

I’d recommend Hapeville. Safe city with easy parking and there are plenty of casual restaurants and a few coffee shops, plus a couple little plazas if the weather is nice.

Its still there. There's also a pub, Manchester Arms(?) just up Virginia Avenue from Spondivits, closer to Woodward Academy on the other side of I-85.

I'll second Manchester Arms, and add Brake Pad (just around the corner, a former art deco style gas station transformed into a good bar and grill) to the list.

Chairs Upstairs is another one in East Point to consider. Good (bar) food, pool / arcade games, etc. Also Volare in Hapeville or The Corner Grill in College Park if you're just looking for a nice meal.
