Which location do you think would work best both for success of the museum and neighborhood.

None of the above.

It is run by the Dekalb County Public Schools. It belongs in Dekalb.

Also, it is for locals vs. being a tourist museum that needs high turn over.

If you want more visitors and more unique visitors, the answer needs to be near Centennial Park. It is grount central for our event and trade markets that bring many unique individuals in town. If they decided they wanted a satellite to try to get paying unique visitors, I'm all for it, but the main location for locals with a goal for education... it should stay put.

I'd welcome Gwinnett, Fulton, Cobb, etc.. to follow suit and develop various educational missions for their students that can be beneficial to the whole metro area.

Gwinnett has one such place in the Gwinnett Evironmental & Heritage Center.

I cannot imagine it being in Piedmont Park. In my opinion, it would ruin the Park.

AP, I can't imagine it anywhere but right where it is...adjacent to the forest, as is the Science Center. There is already room for expansion, as the founders had the foresight to acquire four houses (with considerable acreage) that not only abut the museum but also front Ponce de Leon Rd. up to the intersection of Clifton.

As for Piedmont Park, I'm favor of keeping it as passive as possible.

I agree with Iconographer and Ansley. Fernbank is perfect right where it is!

I quite like the location.

The museum itself is a bit tired and underwhelming, but nothing to do with the location

I don’t know. Keep it where it is? Yawn if Atlanta has no interest in expanding its cultural offerings to regional significance, let alone global.

Fernbank's current location was never an issue though.
