We roll in with an 80, which puts us toward the top.

Woo-hoo! At least we're ranked high in something, and transit related. Then again we're beat by cities like Miami, Houston, Portland, Denver, and MPLS on this list so maybe it's nothing to hang on the refrigerator.

How did Crypto.com arena at LA Live get a 97 but State Farm an 80? Toyota Center at 85? Where is the scoring criteria.

I put Walk Score right up there with websites like Great Schools.

I questioned the ranking, too, compared to some of the others, and the rubric includes population density, street design and walkable amenities. I imagine State Farm scores really low on all those metrics for now, but once Centennial Yards is built out with housing, the new street grid, and new entertainment and dining options, State Farm Arena will be tied with Staples...umm..Crypto.com Arena.

The arena area has fabulous public transit. It is very close to the Pico and 7th St/Metro Center stations with four subway lines that can connect you to many places in the LA area.

The free downtown Dash F line bus also runs right in front of the arena.

There are also many city buses that also connect to the arena area such as the 14,28,37 and 81 lines.

The subway also connects to the Metrolink train system at Union Station.
