Hello, does anyone know of any pizza joints in the ATL (preferably OTP north) that make pizza similar to the attached picture? This is the kind that is typically from a steakhouse, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Is the pic above just referring to overly cheesy pizza on thin crust? Or is there something more to it?

My apologies... I should have clarified a little more. It is not a deep dish pizza, but one with a thicker crust and the cheese is a little chewier than normal (not sure if they are using a special cheese), also with a generous portion of meat. Typically this is not from a chain, but a one-off restaurant possibly from a steakhouse.

Appreciate the context. AFAIK, I’m not familiar with anywhere, and I consider myself a fairly educated pizza connoisseur, generally knowledgeable on the various types and styles available regionally.

As a very general rule of thumb, non chain pizza in ATL seems to sku towards Neapolitan or NYC, with some Detroit style popular inside the city limits.

I’ll be curious to hear others answers

Thank you for this.... this pizza is actually from the north (Canada).

That being said, I am a huge fan of Chicago / Detroit pizza and have tried Little Caesar's, Rosati's, Nancy's, Nina & Rafi, and Jet's Pizza (believe it or not, we like this one especially the sauce!). If I'm missing any, pls let me know.

Try a thick crust from https://www.marcos.com/

or if you like Chicago styles better, there's a decent place in Milton > https://www.bobbygs.com/

I recently went to Two Cities in Suwanee that serve an excellent Chicago style. Also, if you go you have to see the restrooms there...

I'm personally more of a fan of thicker pizza myself and have found like what Citykid said, it's NYC style and thin, very thin.

Now that I'm NE OTP I gotta find all good new places again.

Godfathers Pizza.

I don't know if the place is still open because I'm here in Vancouver Washington but Godfather's Pizza it would do massive amounts it was incredible they would have deep dish or you could try Round Table Pizza they are excellent also.
