Curious if anyone has insight on the acceptance rate for Kindergarten or 6th grade at the top private schools? I’ve heard it has been extra competitive since Covid.

I believe that there was a bump in applications during the height of COVID lockdown (2020 & 2021), especially for families in City of Atlanta and DeKalb public schools. Those were the last to return to in-person learning and parents were tired and irritated with what they felt was substandard instruction during that period. But I think that enrollment patterns have normalized back to pre-pandemic numbers for the most part. Those three are always competitive, but I think that the Pandemic rush to get into private schools has leveled off.

My understanding is the Buckhead privates across the board are at 25%-30% acceptance rate. Applications did increase by 30% during the height of Covid, and I hear that this year's number of applications is still higher than in the before times.
