Looking to retire but was looking for someting like the Villages in Florida were you can take a golf cart pretty much everywhere. It is a wonderful concept. Have a sister there. Would only need one vehicle that way. Jobs will not be an issue. Just need the basics in life. Golf of course. Might like to be able to get a drink with our meal occasinally when we eat out. Have another sisiter in Horseshoe Bend, dry, and just a bit to basic, but nice. Near good clean water as when the kids come to visit there would be more for them to do. Want to stay more to the northern part so we can keep it to about a 12 hour drive for the kids to come and visit from Wi. Know of a couple but wondered what else is out there. Thank you forward.

You might try Cherokee Village, which is close to Horseshoe Bend, but is closer to Jonesboro for major shopping and there is a Super Center Walmart aprox. 7 miles from town center.

Has two golf courses and 7 lakes, with homes right on the lake....

Good luck..

or look into Bella Vista. Both communities were established by the same developer. I am not saying you can get everywhere by golf cart, like the community in Florida you are referring to but you certainly can use it for a lot of commuting. As for a drink, it is dry but according to our realtor you only need a card to buy a drink in most establishments or there are private clubs and to buy liquor BV is only a mile from the MO boarder which isn't dry.

or try Hot Springs Village, the third community by Cooper. Four of the eight golf courses are in close proximity to each other. However, most cart owners trailer their cart to the course and don't use the cart otherwise.

I live in Hot Springs Village. Carts are allowed on roads except where there are special trails for the cart traffic.
