Dang, it's cold this year! Last week it was 16 degrees in the back yard. All my plants are frozen and maybe dead. My irrigation feed froze and busted. It seems as though temps have not been up to normal in weeks and there is more coming next week. I don't remember a winter this cold. If it keeps up we're gonna be ice skating on the pool. 115 is sounding pretty good right now.

It feels just like N. CA where we thought we were leaving the cold behind. All my nice plants died, so we start over. I agree with Ponderosa, 115 sounds wonderful right now. Come summer and we all will be singing a different tune.

This is an exceptionally cold winter. I live in Bullhead and there was a picture on the front page of our newspaper of someone's water fountain that froze over (beautiful picture) but that is just NOT NORMAL here. This is one of those El Nino years. Cheer up everyone, spring will be here soon and we will all start thawing out

Come August youll be wishin for this weather. And besides, cold weather puts some hair on yer chests. 16 degrees is colder than here, well, maybe not this week. Been warm here most of the winter, most days in the mid 40s and a few in the mid 50s. Been kinda nice, but no snow.

I know it snows in the mountains surrounding PHX, but have any of you witnessed snow on the ground in city limits?

Snow? Once - A few years back. Other than that - the only substantial snow fall was last march in the Cave Creek area.

It does snow in Phx, once every few years. It usually lasts a couple of hours and the last time it stuck around on the ground for a few days.
