Yes, the rain should be clearing. Should be in the low 90's. Anxious to see how the morns and evenings cool down.

The monsoons bring spectacular sunsets, like nowhere else....but also humidity...one summer there I swore we were back in Indiana.

Enjoy your visit here. I love this area. Its ideal for vegetable gardening, flower gardening, and stone fruit trees. Grapevines do great here too, and berry bushes. I do need to fence my vegetable crops off from the javelinas though.

Cost of living is affordable, climate is wonderful, the summer thunderstorms I find exciting and dramatic in a good way. Last winter we had a bit of snow but daytime temps still got into the low 40s generally. I am managing to survive without even an AC now though June can get uncomfortable.

There are not a whole lot of cultural events but if you are an outdoorsy person who enjoys a quieter rural kind of life I think it is ideal. There are activities in the area though, and Tuscon has even more for a day trip of only 90 miles one way.

I’m guessing you’re visiting SV now. It would be great to get feedback as we’re seriously contemplating a relocation from our current retirement area.

I am here. Nice town. Temp was around 95. Currently the sweat factor was similar to had I been in Kansas.

We've been warmer and more humid than usual this year - by quite a bit. Typically highs this time of year are in the upper 80's rather than the mid 90s.

Well when you consider it's much warmer than kansas in the winter, a huge net plus. July and august are the monsoon humid season in SV as well. We plan to scout this area at some point and appreciate any of your comments on the area as a retirement area.
