I am looking at a very nice but older RV for sale. It's a 2000. Can anyone guess what the fees would be to register it?
I assume they would be minimal due to age but I don't know.
Someone told me around $600. For a 16 year old unit??

RVs and Motorhomes
If you have a recreational vehicle (RV) or motorhome in Arizona, you will need to have it registered and titled. You can follow the same process found on our AZ Car Registration page to do this. Your fees may vary depending on the size and weight of your RV.
You'll probably also pay the VAT (Value Added Tax) read the following it should help you....

You can also call the DMV.

I have a 2000 Jayco Class C and I first registered it for $123.42 including the plate last year. I believe that it is based on the original mfr retail price multiplied by some percentage and the value goes down 15% per year. If you buy a new one, you will be shocked.

My 97 Bounder cost me a little under $90 a year the past 2 years.

They use the same formula as a car, based on the MSRP when it was new.

I can't imagine buying a new $500k or higher motor home and paying that rate every year. I've read posts on RV forums that advise AZ residents how to legally register their motor homes in other states for just that reason.
