I have had an irritated spot in the outside corner of my eye
Been to the Opthamologist twice now—a week apart
She gave me RX for Keflex because it was red and warm to touch so she thought might have infection starting and I have taken 2 day for wk—
Today she said I could stop the Kefex….saw no break in the skin in that corner but the eye still gets crusty (like a sore/cut “weeps” fluid at times…
Said to come back in week and if it was still doing that she would refer me to ocular dermatologist
But my eye pressure was up in that eye—within normal limits in the left eye
Pressure was normal last visit and never had issue with raised pressure before
Can allergies cause eye pressure to go up?
I have used my husband’s shampoo a time or two lately—he uses that tea tree shampoo which is more astringent than mine—so guess it might be that but the other eye is not affected…
Just seems strange to have it in that one spot—
Inflammation in the eye can affect interocular pressure. An active infection might be under control, but your eye could still remain inflamed for a while.

Best not to use thst shampoo. I cannot use tea tree shampoo. Too irritating for me.
I get those. They're called styes. Keeping that area clean of any oil is needed, and hold warm compresses or washcloths to the affected area for around 10 minutes, 3 times a day. You'll see improvement.
