Go to My Settings and in the column on the left find the link saying Edit Ignore List then write the name of the person you want to ignore into the box there and click Okay.

Someone on the forum said that if you put someone on "ignore" you can never add them back on again. That's sounds odd. True?

You mean take them off the list again? I don't see why not, the list is editable and the instruction is on that same page.

Nope - not true. In fact, it's much easier to take a person off ignore than to put them on ignore.

Each time a post by a person on your ignore list shows up in a thread, pretty much the only things you see are the person's screen name and, over on the right side, a link that says "Remove user from ignore list."

Click on the link. It takes you to a Confirm User List Modification screen. It asks you "Are you sure you want to remove [name] from your ignore list?" Click on yes, and that's it. Click on no, and it takes you back to the thread you were reading.

That's just two clicks to remove a person from your ignore list.

I'm too nosy to ever put anyone on the list.
