All food establishments that display, prepare, or store potentially hazardous food shall have adequate refrigerated food storage facilities. Food walk in cooler not maintained, ambient air temperature at 55.4 F. Instructed manager to repair cooler, ambient air temperature must be 40 F or below. Citation issued. Ticket #H000058050 11.
All cold food shall be stored at a temperature of 40F or less. Found the following potentailly hazardous foods held at improper temperatures between 50 F and 55.4 F- Chicken, Turkey, Bratwurst, Deli Meats. Manager voluntarily discarded all out of temperture potentially hazardous foods at this time. Instructed manager all potentially hazardous foods must be held at 40 F or below if held cold. Citation issued.
All rooms in which food or drink is prepared, or in which utensils are washed, shall be lighted so that a minimum of 50-foot candles of light is available on all work surfaces. Light bulbs burned out above basement dry storage room. Must provide and install working light bulbs.
Toilet rooms shall be completely enclosed and shall be vented to the outside air or mechanically ventilated. Mens washroom door not self closing (at 733 N. Wells side). Must provide and install self closing device for washroom door.
Ventilation: All plumbing fixtures, such as toilets, sinks, washbasins, etc., must be adequately trapped, vented, and re-vented and properly connected to the sewer in accordance with the plumbing chapter of the Municipal Code of Chicago and the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Health. 1st floor closet mop sink back flow prevention device in poor repair. Must repair and maintain.
