The Terrace Theater


The Terrace Theater offers space for live performances, seminars and movies. When configured for orchestra, loge and balcony seating, there is space for 3,051 people. The theater works in conjunction with the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center and is attached to their 825 seat Center Theater. Both theaters provide space for those attending events at the Convention and Entertainment Center and are great places for hosting seminars, classes and presentations. The theater underwent renovations in 1978 and went from being the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium and was renamed the Terrace Theater. Now it is a vital part of the convention center, used in a variety of different events. In addition to events held at the convention center, the theater offers seating and space for church services, local performances, beauty pageants, dance competitions, industrial conventions, opera performances and symphony performances. The City of Long Beach is a popular destination for residents of the state, as well as tourists visiting from all over the country. The city offers a variety of recreational activities like biking and shopping. The city is home to the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Museum of Art. There are activities for kids and adults alike, making it a popular spot for family vacations.
