Jon Lovitz Comedy Club

In the southern section of Universal City in Hollywood next to the Hard Rock Café, tourists can find the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, a recently opened comedy club on the Hollywood scene. The club resides in the former BB King Blues Club on Universal Citywalk.

This tropical-themed nightclub, featuring a stage mural of Waikiki and talented comedians, seats 400 guests in its three-level structure. This club is unique in that each night it features one long act with a lead-in warmup. Other clubs have a long lineup of comedians each night. In addition, there are occasional Open Mic nights. Guests can enjoy the stand-up routine Jon Lovitz' live on Wednesdays.

The club offers a full menu of appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts. The lineup of comedians includes a wide array of professionals, some with years of experience and others who are up and coming. Notable performers include Woody Allen, Tim Allen, and Tom Arnold. Shows generally run in the evenings on weekends and some Thursdays.

By car, the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club is located 30 minutes north of Los Angeles International Airport. The club is within walking distance of Universal Studios, Hard Rock Café, and Warner Brothers Studios. Within a few miles, tourists can also visit the Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Bowl, and the Los Angeles Zoo.
