Krishnamurti Education Center

The Krishnamurti Foundation of America houses their Education Center, including the Library and Visitor Center, in Ojai, CA, which sits at the edge of the Los Padres National Forest.

Many people from around the world come to the Education Center to learn about themselves and ponder questions about life using Krishnamurti's teachings. The center hosts various speakers, discussion groups, study programs and conferences for a non-denominational inquiry into human life.

The Visitor Center and Libraray, housed in Pine Cottage, was the residence of Krishnamurti from 1922 to 1986. Guests will also find on the compound the Pepper Tree Retreat, which is open to those who would like to enjoy an extended stay.

Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds, tour Krishnamurti's home, look through the library, or enjoy coffee and tea on the Patio of Pine Cottage. Groups may rent the facilities at the Pepper Tree Retreat and the Education Center for events consistent with the quiet nature of the center.

By car the Krishnamurti Education Center is located 30 minutes north of Ventura, CA and just under two hours northwest of LAX at 1098 McAndrew Rd. The education center is within a short driving distance of Ojai Valley Country Club.
