El Rey Theater

El Rey Theater is part of the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles, California's art deco district. El Rey was founded in 1936. It was designed by Clifford Balch. The theater was in use for more than 50 years as a first run movie theater, until 1994. During this year it was changed to a live music venue style theater. El Rey has large staircases with an art deco lobby, VIP balcony lounge, and a grand ballroom. There are general admission, standing room venues, and other tickets. Tickets are sold through the box office, as well as their online store.

Parking is available at the theater for the live events. Some of the shows that have been or are going to be at the theater include Warp Riders, Modeselektor, Jackson Revolver, Aaron Nicholas, The Dirty Showbiz Tour, OohLaLa Festival, and much more. There are several different types of music at the venue that are mostly considered hip right now. Some of these shows can be popular only in Los Angeles, as the players try to get recognition for their talents. El Rey Theater has given several individuals a chance to make it in show biz.
