Castle Amusement Park - Riverside, California - award-winning family theme park

Castle Park is a family theme amusement park located in Riverside, California. Opened in 1976, the park has been voted the Inland Empire's Favorite Family Amusement Park. Castle Park offers 35 rides and attractions, a state-of-the-art arcade, 4 18-hole miniature golf courses and three restaurants, including the Big Top Restaurant, which is available for special events and occasions.

Castle Amusement Park features a King Arthur theme, and that theme is carried through in the major rides and attractions. There are rides for all ages and levels of thrill-seekers, from a leisurely drive in the Antique Cars to the adult thrills of the Dragon's Tower, a drop tower designed with adults in mind. The rides include three roller coasters, including the park's newest feature attraction, the Screamin' Demon, a 35-foot high thrill coaster. Merlin's Revenge is a family coaster ride designed to offer thrills for adults without being too scary for children. For roller coaster beginners, the park offers the Little Dipper, a miniature roller coaster designed especially with kids in mind. For those who are ready to graduate to something a little bit more exciting, the Fireball is an adult coaster type ride that includes an inverted loop.

The carnival atmosphere is maintained by a midway of carnival rides and games of skill and luck, along with a monthly magic show. Indoors, Castle Park also features a state-of-the-art arcade with over 200 video games on the first level and a Ghost Blasters laser game on the second level. Many of the games in the arcade are rewards-based with tickets that can be turned in for prizes at the redemption desk.

Guests can also play any one of four miniature golf courses, all of them professionally designed 18-hole course. Each golf course is unique, featuring unusual theme buildings and water features. The courses are lighted with over 4,000 lights for night-time play and feature 18 waterfalls scattered throughout the four courses.

The Big Top Restaurant at Castle Park is open to the public for lunch and dinner, and available for birthday parties, group outings and other special events. The park staff offers several different packages for birthdays and corporate or group events, all of them including food, beverages and all day ride tickets for all rides. Food options range from pizza to a full barbecue buffet, and catered dinners. Venues at the park include the Big Top Restaurant event rooms and the Picnic Area.

Castle Park is open seven days a week, though rides are closed on Mondays. The arcade and miniature golf are open at 11:00 a.m. daily. The rides open at noon. Closing hours vary with the day and the season. All day gate admission pays for access to all the rides. Admission is inexpensive, and special deals and promotions are available for groups. Castle Park also partners with area businesses to provide corporate discount tickets for employees. For more information about admissions and hours, contact Castle Park at 951-785-3000.
