California Polytechnic University


The California Polytechnic University is part of the 23-member California State University system and is one of two polytechnic colleges in the system. The University is made up of six colleges that offer 70 undergraduate degree programs and 26 graduate programs. There are also six teach certificates available. The six separate colleges include the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Engineering, the College of Math and Sciences, the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences, the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, and the Collge of Business.The college is bets known for its agriculture, architecture, and engineering programs. The school has nearly 120,000 living alumni and nearly 20,000 students are currently attending each year. The school is part of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Students live on campus in six different red-brick buildings that are considered part of a Living-Learning Programs and share the building with others in their same college. Many students at the school are involved in the Greek Life programs which includes 10 different USCF fraternities and sororities, 18 IFC fraternities, and eight Panhellenic Sororities. The school offers 20 varsity sports including women's volleyball, cross country, soccer, football, basketball, wrestling, and 14 other options.
