Hello.

I am trying to find out anything I can about a company called Compton Airways, Inc. Apparently it was in business in the 1930s, and participated in (and/or sponsored) an air show at Compton Airport on April 2, 1933. This would have been just 2 weeks or so after a large earthquake in the area. I assume that the company was based at Compton Airport, but I am not certain of that. I have a cacheted envelope, signed by the Compton postmaster at the time (Edward J. Lewis), that commemorates the air show and dedication (of the airport??). Any leads or information you might have about Compton Airways would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

John L. Wallace
