Hello, I'm a sophomore at FPHS. I'm currently in 3/4 Japanese. My Japanese grade is very important to me, the lowest it's ever been has been a B+. My grade is an A- currently, all last year I kept a solid A. Japanese is one of the only subjects I truly excel in. I planned on taking 5/6 Japanese next year. So you can imagine my outrage when I was informed today that Mrs. Erickson wouldn't be teaching 5/6 because of her teaching 2 history classes. I'm sure there are many other students in my position, and this throws off my 4 year plan since I hoped to take Japanese all 4 years at FPHS. I implore you to reconsider your decision to cancel 5/6 Japanese. If you don't, you're taking away one of my only joys in FPHS. I've also been informed AP art won't run next year. If that's true and you cancel 5/6 Japanese, I'll really have nothing to look forward to at FPHS. But judging how things are handled here at FPHS, I'm guessing you don't particularly care about the happiness and aspirations of students. Only the grades matter to you.
Sincerely, Courtney Roskopf
