2. Festival Of Nations

City: St. Paul, MN
Category: Annual Events & Festivals
Telephone: (651) 647-0191
Address: 175 Kellogg Blvd. West, RiverCentre

Description: Founded in 1932 and held generally in late April or early May, the Festival of Nations has been an event of the people who helped create it for their pleasure and the ethnic values they treasured. Its underlying philosophy has been that as Americans of all backgrounds—native citizens and naturalized citizens alike—share experiences, their differences become less significant and barriers to understanding are removed. Today Minnesota’s largest multicultural event showcases more than 100 ethnic groups through food, dance performances, cultural exhibits, folk art demonstrations, an international bazaar, and more.
