I am close to your age, work remotely and recently relocated to the Wichita area from TX. It is nice so far. There are a couple of health food stores here which I like and some good restaurants. I reside in a town 3 miles south of Wichita since that was the only place where I was able to find an apartment quickly at the time I needed to move. The winters can get brutally cold sometimes but the snow does not stay on the ground too long which is good. I like the 4 seasons and I am sure the summers won’t be excessively hot like where I lived previously. Have a blessed day.

What a strange thread. We spent Spring Break in Wichita and really liked it. My family wants to move there, although that's not going to happen. Wichita is too small; I'd have to drive to KC every weekend. However, the people are SO much less arrogant than Colorodans, and an area is all about the people. Traffic is non-existent, the weather isn't as brutally dry as Colorado, and food prices are much lower.

I agree, sir.
Also, the Wichita area is very socially conservative/religious and not welcoming of any type of growth and diversity. I don't like how the closest large metro areas are almost 3 hours away which is quite far for a day trip.

Pretty much all cities have a fair share of crime.
Wichita is not Chicago, Detroit or Baltimore though.
I do agree about the geography though. Not the most exciting, hence my remark about it being not perfect.

Also, the Wichita area is very socially conservative/religious and not welcoming of any type of growth and diversity. I don't like how the closest large metro areas are almost 3 hours away which is quite far for a day trip.
