The problem is not being able to get through to someone who can schedule an appointment.
The way I did that was to use my practice groups in Mail Network to reach my physician, and he bumped the message to his assistant, who called me at work today.

I had a direct referral from my primary physician but it still took too long for the gastroenterology office to call me back to schedule an appointment. As a result, I scheduled an appointment with a wonderful colorectal surgeon in Asheville who does colonoscopies and was able to get into to see her quickly. Had it done at Mission. This was my third colonoscopy and was the best experience by far.

Which "prep" did he use? The last one my doctor had me used a year ago was a disaster.
Boy, whatever prep is used, start it a couple of hours earlier than they suggest. I've had 5 of these things and finally got tired of stopping at gas stations, fastfood, and big box stores to use the bathroom on the way to my appts.
I now back it out a couple of hours and all is well.
SUPREP kit has worked well the past 3 procedures.
All preps are nasty. They basically flood your intestines with so much salt your body pours water into the colon in a desperate attempt to flush it out.
Ever pour salt on a slug and see it shrivel? Ya. Like that. Only inside.
