Southern FL has tropical climates infact 3/4 of the types. And it is above the tropics, even Key West is 24°N while tropics are 23.5°. What about Bermuda which is probably the northernmost tropical climate on earth at 32°N. There is many more places I can find. Let’s discuss about this, this is really a complicated subject.

Well, here in FL is a case we live well. Okinawa counts I guess it is not yet in tropics and it has a tropical rainforest Af, Okinawa is very humid and wet. Also eventhough Taiwan passes through the Tropic of Cancer, it has parts northern to it that are tropical climate; I don’t think it really counts much though. Also like you said a few times before, eventhough semiarid or arid the temperatures of Canary Islands which are in the 28th parallel are basically tropical in many places.

This passes 18°C coldest month: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Cruz_de_Tenerife

If it has a tropical climate then it’s a tropical climate.Lines of latitude don’t always match up with climate as there are many other factors. South Florida is tropical. It can be the other way round too. Many places in the tropics don’t have a tropical climate because of elevation or ocean currents. Take the west coast of South America for example; it is very cool for its latitude. Lima has a temperature range similar to San Diego despite being near the equator!

I meant the ones outside of tropics, outside of 23.5°N to 23.5°S, the ones in temperate latitudes 23.5-66.5°N/S.
