How would you rate Chinatown/Gallery Place for nightlife, noise, and nighttime eateries/bars?

Galley Place has really been hard hit by the pandemic. Much of the commuter happy activity has gone away and the tourists have gone to the Wharf. All the retail has closed up and many of the big restaurant spaces are vacant. It's still pretty loud around there and there is a lot of social disorder. I wouldn't want to discourage people from living/visiting there for fear of it becoming a self reinforcing cycle of negativity. Hopefully it can be reinvented as the city slowly heals from the pandemic. But, I would have to be honest about the degree of the issues. Take a visit and see if it's right for you. It's certainly not for everyone.

I live on H and 10th so I'm only a few blocks away. Some longstanding places have closed due to crime (Flight and Bar Deco recently). I don't think Chinatown is attractive whatsoever. There are no great places to dine and the area has quite a few sketchy people. Even Clyde's seems lame nowadays and I used to love going there. As far as Gallery Place area off the Metro, I do enjoy Zaytinya, Oyamel, and places on that side of the arena.
