I'm in need of advice for video editing software. I just need something middle of the road, obviously I'm not doing this professionally.

I found GoPro software has too many hiccups, and bought AVS4U and it is very jerky until you render it, so it's hard to tell what you done until then, which is not very helpful. I've read others have the same complaints with both.

I have a higher end gaming computer, so it is not my hardware.

I use PS and LR for my photography.

TIA!!

I am not familiar with GoPro or AVS4U.

I am currently using Corel VideoStudio Utimate X9. Their website is at https://www.videostudiopro.com/en/products/videostudio/

I have purchased Corel products through Amazon as it can come out less expensive...

Prior to that I was using Sony Vegas Pro for 10+ years until they sold out to Magix. Their video proucts are here: Music-, Video-, Graphic & Photo Software - MAGIX

I am not a professional videographer, have been involved in simple projects over the years, it's just primarily been a hobby. The videos I have shot which are on YouTube:

Thank you Poncho!!! I didn't even think of it, but maybe I'll go with Adobe because I already use other products, but if not I will go with Corel.

PowerDirector has been around for a while and is probably also good choice. Good luck!

PowerDirector is good because it very rarely crashes during
the rendering stage. The problem with most consumer soft-
ware is that although they are great at editing they are lousy
at rendering and often crash at that stage.

It seems pretty stable and smooth. Granted, what I had to edit was pretty basic, not a lot of effects, but it worked perfect.

Now at least I can do some stuff with all my travel videos!!!

Try vegas studio platinum. Very intuitive, Good price, and once you get familiar and feel like going pro, you can always upgrade.
