Here's WCAX news video of Rutland flooding and evacuations (after the ad).

And here's the historic Lower Bartonsville covered bridge being swept away.

Yeah Bennington County seemed to have got hit the worse. Starting to flood in Pownal right now according to my wife nephew. Water is pouring into his house right now, all the levees and sandbags are giving way, they can't handle the weight of the water anymore.

Downtown Brattleboro is totally messed up, so is Wilminghton. This is going to be a very expensive and long repair. Route 9 snapped in half leading from Bennington to Brattleboro, so that whole bridge has to be replaced.

Route 67 from Bennington heading towards Hoosick Falls, NY is completely submerged under water. And the route heading towards North Adams, Mass is submerged under water as well.

We have grocery stores under water as well along with the Hilton Hotel.

As all the water filters down, the CT river is rising rapidly as well. Rain us ending but a lot of rivers aren't predicted to crest until morning still.

Stay safe everyone.

Were jut across the border from Bennington and like you, we can't go anywhere...all roads out are closed.Rte 7, Rte 22, Rte 2, Rte 67, Rte 346.
Even if we did get somewhere, there's no place to go from there.
Waiting for the fire dept now, to pump the cellar. Our pump didn't keep up.
The damage in Vermont is enough to make anyone cry

I first saw the Vermont damage on tv in a coffee shop here in NJ so somebody is covering it. But you're right--Manhattan didn't get much, so they're saying it was nothing.

We still have no power here in much of nj and heavy flooding that's expected to worsen today as the creeks and rivers rise.I don't think they get that either and we're next door.

Hang in there, Vermont, and be safe, all of you.
