Where are the interview today-an start the week after jobs though? Which website online can I find them at?
Temp work. Entry level retail. Check with temp agencies on a regular basis. I have walked into a temp agency (this after being out of the work force for many many years, and not currently working) and in the 5 minutes i was there dropping off my resume without an appointment, she made a phone call and had me an interview the next morning and they hired me on the spot to start working the next day. After a few weeks they offered me a full time position with full benefits. High salary, prestigious medical center. They paid a ton of money to the temp agency too, i saw the paperwork it was staggering. Nowhere near what they paid me as a temp. But i was happy they found me that job
I believe you said you get $500 a week unemployment. Your fixed expenses are $1700 a month. So your unemployment covers that. How is it you can only pay rent for another month?
The O.P. has been out of work for a while and most States only pay for 26 weeks. I was thinking the same thing until I looked at the date the O.P. was laid off (Nov 20th 2023) The O.P. has six weeks or less of unemployment left.
I'd go 1250 on Powerball and 1250 on Megamillions. The jackpots are 600-800 million this weekend so a win on either will solve your financial shortages. Even getting 5#'s pays 1mm so the 2nd place prize is pretty strong too!

You've been receiving UI of $2000 per month since November 2023. Your fixed costs are $1700/month. So, all your fixed costs have been covered using UI since you've been unemployed.
Because your UI covered all your expenses since you've been unemployed, your savings should still be intact.
However, you say only have $5000 in savings left.
You have more than 20 years of work history in a well-paying field.
Did you not save more than $5000 during your entire working career?
Something to think about as you re-start your career.

Two ways you can do it. Increase your passive income. Get a roommate or two. If its an apartment whatever you can legally do. If you are in a city and you have a car. Sell it. You hopefully will get some money back depending on if you have a loan. And you don't need to pay car insurance. Start taking public transportation.
Does the above seem extreme? If you don't take serious action you could be homeless soon. You have to be proactive now you could lose what little you have now.
Other than that another option is do gig driving. Door Dash, Grub Hub. Amazon, Walmart, etc. Even here in rural Oklahoma I personally know people making $1000 to $1500 a week doing the above. I have a good friend who works five days a week doing the above. About 40 hours and never makes less than $1000. You don't need to be an uber driver driving people in your car.
$1700 is the firm, bare-bones baseline. In reality, adding credit card bills from past expenses, and other unexpected costs it easily climbs north of $2000. Like I said though, things like food, beverages, unnecessary travel, I've all cut out 100%
After we sold our printing company, I didn't want any sort of traditional office job---I wanted a meritocracy like I was used to with no hovering boss.
So I waitressed in a lovely resort and netted $30 an hour----$4,000 a month take-home. Found out I was good at it and enjoyed it (in the right place, of course). I was in a tourist town with no much else anyway.
I loved the money but was embarrassed to tell people what I did. So swallow your pride and see if you can't be a waiter somewhere. If you've got the personality for it.

Why be embarrassed? If someone asks you what you do, start your answer off by saying you have a job you enjoy and find rewarding (both financially and personally) in a setting you find beautiful and pleasant. The job just happens to involve serving food.
