Have not seen a release date yet. You'll know it thought when they flood the network with reruns.. and I'm not referring to Animal Planet's lot. Sometime in March though for sure.

No confirmation yet I read.
But there's signs episodes are being filmed, or in the works.
Who knows.

There has not been any crabbing in Alaska recently as the seasons were cancelled. That would make new episodes impossible to film, unless the boats are filmed catching cod or tendering for other fish.

The season has been pushed back to a later premier this year. No specific reason was given, but assumptions are that it's just a programming decision to run it a bit later, perhaps due to the fact that with the closure of snow crab, the timing for the other things the boats are doing might run later into the spring..

Or.. There's the theory that now, after 20 seasons, the show is losing some steam and they're cutting the episode count down.. And to end around the same time, it necessitated pushing the premier back.

What I'm hearing is a late May to early June premier.

I liked the show, but.. Just haven't invested the time in it for the past 5 years or so.

Whoever that is that captains the Aleutian Lady I think it is.. is the one who said it was premiering later this year on his Instagram, I believe it was. He didn't give a reason why, so the speculation is all fan speculation.

Seems like half a year is Gold rush and then the crabbing show. Gold rush has been worn out for a while with nothing but beeps the whole show. No clue why they gotta ruin shows with them stupid beeps every few secs. I count a avg of 60 to 89 beeps a show. White water is even worse. Ax men was nothing but drama and beeps as well.

Same for wicked tuna. Just worn out and the same boring peeps and boats. Who in the world gets on a Radio and says tuna on? Just silly the whole show.
