You have no concept of Capital vs O&M do you?

Not ONE PENNY of money that could have funded the police department has gone to build ANYTHING.

Please retire high horse, soapbox, etc.

Why don't you just ride on out of town on the high horse that I retire.
I don't give a s--- about typical political excuses for an incompetent city government. Without adequate Police Force and high crime rates you get flight to the burbs and you have no safe city for growth.
No helicopters or mounted patrols is idiotic in a city the size of Tulsa.
A properly sized and equipped police force is paramount over anything else in Tulsa.

I agree Bill. Constantly harping on the police situation without a clue as to how they are hired, how things are funded, or how the city budget works gets really tiresome. As most people that observe such things know, dozens of cities throughout the country are experiencing many of the same funding problems. It is not unique to Tulsa.

To my way of thinking, the constant griping about a single issue is a form of trolling that should not be tolerated. The constant harping, in virtually every thread, distracts meaningful discussion about any other topics. It seems that every time someone brings up a topic it is responded to with a "Yeah, that is all well and good, but we need to demand more cops on the street."

"There's a rodeo coming to town" "Yeah, but we need mounted police in the parks....can't have fun or feel safe without mounted police."

I'm with you, Bill. I think I will spend time elsewhere for a while until this latest nonsense ceases.

Why would you want to catch flies? Do you have a pet toad? And frankly, I think you can actually get more flies with fresh manure than with honey. Why would you waste honey for something like that?

Flies have always been one of the most perplexing creatures
under the sun , now why in the world would their's taste in
Goumet Food vary so much all the way from Manure to Honey
, and if a fly find manure tasty why in the world won't he also find
Vinegar to be so so tasty...Dunno...just Dunno....
