A half hour ago I saw a flatbed truck with a pair of radar domes and a tower heading west toward the TX Panhandle (US 62). Since all the activity is north of I-40 at this time, maybe setting up for tomorrow?

The biggest threat should still be north of there in Kansas and Missouri. Wonder if it was just for some news station or NWS those radars

I live in Kansas City. We got pounded tonight. The local news says there were several small tornadoes in the area that touched down only briefly and caused some minor damage.
They're predicting more severe storms here for Thursday evening (May 3) that could be as bad as the storms that passed through a couple of hours ago.

They were in the right place the next day. Tornadoes 35 miles north of me, 30 miles south, and a pronounced hook echo directly over my workplace. We recorded a 74 knot wind gust there on 2 May.
