This is a useless statement if you don't tell us why you think that.

I've simply referenced in my comment what many others have already elaborated on in the Utah threads.

You could have said something like "All the negative stuff people have said about Southern Utah in this thread are true, in my experience and for that reason, I hate Southern Utah".

That would have at least let us know where you're coming from. Just saying you hate it without saying why is useless to other readers.

Oh please. Spare us. The whole point of these citydata forums is to inform people so they DON'T have to discover whatever once they get there. You've brought nothing to the conversation. But I'm sure you're very proud of yourself for your cleverness. Troll.

Update. We did find a home to buy - and bought it sight unseen except for pictures on Zillow. We had some friends walk through it for us and said it was a good buy. God parted the red sea for us - there's just no other way to explain the timing and how everything evolved.

And part of the reason we are moving is political. California is getting more and more liberal and we're weary of being perceived as an ATM machine whose only "right" is to pay taxes. The homeless situation is horrendous and yet we have people defending their right to live on the streets, ignoring the crime, the disease, and the quality of life issues. Quality of life for both sides - for those who have homes, and those on the streets - whose health will only deteriorate the longer they're homeless. Crime is reclassified in an attempt to keep people out of prisons, and a rising crime rate is attributed to anything else. I could go on - but I won't. It's almost in the rear view mirror now, and I can start looking forward to my retirement plans and basking in the wonder of the St. George scenery.

Good luck to you! Despite the horrors that another poster won't disclose to us, it is a stunningly beautiful place. By coincidence I too bought my Utah home sight unseen while driving on the road to SLC. The realtor did a kind of virtual tour with her tablet. It worked out great, far better than I could have imagined. House was exactly as advertised and no surprises. Hopefully you'll have the same experience.

My daughter and son in law also bought theirs sight unseen after I and the realtor walked through a few. They've been there about 10 years now.
