I was just in Branson in March and I go several times a year and I will say I saw Black people everywhere I went. I saw several at Silver Dollar City, Mini Golf, restaurants and just walking around the strip. I recall telling my son on this past trip that I have seen more black people on this trip than I ever have in the past. I think this makes Branson even more appealing...I love diversity. Maybe the word is out that its not just a hillbilly, redneck, country bumpkin kinda town By the way, I am none of those things but I absolutely love Branson. I only travel 100 miles to visit but I feel like I really went on a vacation.

Or maybe the black people you saw were hillbillies and country bumpkins. There are still a few non-urban blacks left, aren't there? Or have they all moved to the city?

I don't generally notice a persons race, but rather their attitude and morals. Recently when I was in Branson and specifically at SDC there were plenty of black families enjoying the park. I suspect you would find more racists on the coasts, than here.

I was not talking about the amusement park outside of town but at the shows.

I really think it depends on the show. The last show I went to was the Darren Romeo Show, which was a combination of magic, comedy, and musical renditions of some popular Broadway style shows. I thought he did an excellent job of singing songs and imitating skits from Phantom of the Opera. There was a diverse crowd at that show.

Default Mostly country?

The white folks who travel to Branson to listen to those songs are not interested in picking fights.
Yes, there's country music AND silly hillbilly shows...AND...there are a lot of other options! Magic shows, comedians, tribute shows like Legends & Liverpool Legends & John Wayne & Frank Sinatra & The Eagles & of course several Elvis's (Tony Roi is my fav)...classic 60's rock-type real life legends like Paul Revere & The Raiders, Bill Medley, The Platters, Bobby Vinton, the Comets, Andy Williams, Tony Orlando, The Osmonds, Jim Stafford...plus unique performances like Twelve Irish Tenors, Shoji Tabuchi, Noah the Musical, SIX, The Acrobats of China and Dixie Stampede! Not to mention the museum-type places like Butterfly World or the Veteran's Museum or the Wax Museum or the Titanic Museum or Shepherd of the Hills or Ripley's Believe it or Not...

Why...you could spend weeks in Branson attending two shows a day and never see anything "country"...if'n you don't like it!

I think it's still a pretty neat little town...

Not to mention the lake.

What? No rap/hip-hop shows, no female impersonator shows, no biker bars and no gentlemen's clubs? For a neat little town it's not very diverse or inclusive.

No sir...y'll have to hitch it up the road to Springfield for that kind of entertainment...

Let me know if you need directions.

(I don't think that's the kind of diversity the OP was wondering about...ahem...)

Then why did you ever leave California? One of the reasons for wanting to move to Missouri is to get away from all the "Diversity" and the crime that comes with it.......

Default Yes...

Yes there is all types of ethnic diversity at the shows in Branson. We have tourists in this area from all over the world. All shapes, all colors, and types. You won't find a huge population of ethnic diversity, it is a pretty caucasan area as the statistics pointed out, but it's also a pretty friendly area. Mostly you find a lot of diversity in the color of gray hair people wear

Tell your friend to "come on down"....most of us are pretty friendly and could care less what color skin your wearing...or what color hair! Or if you even HAVE hair.
