NFL tickets went down to 45 CENTS well before the game and teams played in mostly empty stadium. Home game for the Carolina Panthers playing the Atlanta Falcons.

Even if one did buy them there's still parking, concessions, souvenirs probably making this 100 dollar outing minimum especially with children.
I bought a ticket towards the end of the season on the secondary market (for that MLB game that was Verlander vs. Scherzer in Arlington) and the ticket fee + the tax was more than the ticket...the ticket was $2-$3 and the fee + the tax was about $4. I ended up not using it. I couldn't get to sleep and ended up being too tired to drive up there and back (I live in the Houston metro).
Agree with you. That is THE coaching job I would not want. It is a dead end right now with a team that needs a complete overhaul.
You know, something that we didn't touch on with this game.. That should have been the biggest game of the year for the Panthers.. attendance wise.
Straight shot, about 250 miles up 85 from Atlanta. The fact that there's still a ton of Falcons fans in the area from before there was a team in Charlotte..
That place SHOULD have been packed.. And, while the weather was awful.. I'd be hard pressed to say that they'd have had the packed house that they should have had even if the weather was perfect.

I've lived in Charlotte for 30 years and have never met a Falcons fan here that isnt/wasn't from Georgia. All the "old-timers" here were fans of Washington or Dallas and some have remained such.
Falcons aren't really that big of a draw here. Any team with transplant fans (Giants, Eagles, Steelers, Bills etc) or Cowboys/Washington are a hotter ticket.

$.45 cents is worthy of a thread?
