They partnered with Chatham, Effingham & Bulloch since Fort Stewart separates the entire Northern half from Long & Liberty. They are able to get water & sewer from Savannah initially while building their own systems as well.

I guess I could see that logic, but one of the suppliers is locating in Richmond Hill, the part of Bryan split to the south right next to Liberty and Long.

Liberty and Long are also as much a part of the Savannah area as Bulloch is.

Yes, definitely. And Evans County was just added to the Statesboro Micropolitan Area (previously covering only Bulloch County). This means that OMB and Census Bureau already consider Evans urban, and it joins the larger Savannah-Hinesville-Statesboro-Jesup CSA. Much of the coastal region of Georgia will be affected by the auto plant and related employers, and Jasper County, SC might be as well.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the Metaplant received its first shipment of equipment. It's nice that they have their own container ships to send their stuff over here on...
