Here's a list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area this weekend.



MARCH 1 - AUGUST 30

Yoga on the Beach -- Siesta Key Public Beach, 9 am - 10:30 am each Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat.



FRIDAY

Music in the Park -- Bradenton's Riverwalk Park 6 - 8 pm at the pavilion.

Karaoke on The Green at UTC -- free event 7 - 9 pm, near Tequila Bar.

Wine Walk -- event at the grounds of the Ringling Museum & home, wine, special cuisine, live music, entertainment. Starts 5:30 pm for VIP tickets, 6 pm for general admission tickets. $150/person general admission, $250/person VIP.

FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Suncoast Boat Show -- event at Marina Jack's on Sarasota Bay. Fri & Sat 10 am - 6 pm, Sun 10 am - 5 pm. Tickets $19/adult, ages 15 & under get in free. Tickets available only on line, not at event. Tickets at: https://www.suncoastboatshow.com/en/home.html



SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm.

Venice Farmers Market -- at the City Hall, 401 W Venice Ave, 8 am - 1 pm.
Summer Hours: 8 am - noon.

UTC Fit -- free, various get fit activities each week. The Green at UTC mall, 9:30 - 10:30 am.

BRE PTO Spring Fling at Linger Lodge -- Western themed event with line dancing, dinner, drinks, silent and live auctions. Adults only. Tickets $50 - $500. Ticket price includes 2 drinks, BBQ dinner, dessert, line dancing, photo booth & games. Linger Lodge, 7205 85th St Ct E, Bradenton (SE of Tara).

Charity Golf Tournament at Bent Tree Country Club -- golfers registration at 10 am, begins 11 am. After event party for participants.

Adopt a Plushie -- fundraising event for Cat Depot of Sarasota. Kids pre K to 5th grade can participate in painting a cat carrier, "adopting" a cat plushie toy. 10 am - noon. Cat Depot, 2525 17th St, Sarasota.

World Circus Day at Ringling Circus Museum -- free admission all day, 10 am - 5 pm.

Earth Day at Oscar Scherer State Park -- Osprey. Event 10 am - 3 pm, free admission to the park & event. Live music, activities, guided hiking tours, info booths, speakers, food vendors.

Official grand opening of Lakewood Ranch's Waterside Park -- music, food trucks, inflatables, face painting, family friendly events, 12 - 3 pm.




SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Showfolks Club's World Circus Day open house event -- displays, hamburgers & hot dogs, free entertainment by members. 10 am - 5 pm. 5204 N. Lockwood Ridge Rd in Sarasota.




SUNDAY

Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market -- Waterside Place, 10 am - 2 pm.

The Meadows Farmers Market -- At the Meadows shopping village off Honore, 10 am - 2 pm.

Wellen Park Farmers Market -- 9 am - 1 pm.

The Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show -- free show, starts 2 pm, 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy by Mote

Sundays at the Bay -- free performance by various artists at The Oval on the Bay (1055 Blvd of the Arts), 4 - 5:30 pm.

Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle -- free event, people gather about an hour before sunset.

Classic Car Show -- Venice Community Center, 9 am - 1 pm. Car show & fundraiser.

International Dragon Boat Festival -- races on lake at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. Starts 8 am, also beer garden, food trucks, wellness village. Free admission, $5/vehicle for parking (cash only).
