Hey has anyone here moved into SD in your early 30's? Curious about your experience living there especially if you haven't left. Personally, SD has been an amazing place to visit. But I'm curious if living there is a different reality. I'm 32 currently living in NY and despise the cold winters here. NY is not the most boring state to live in, but SD fits my vibe with a calm and outdoor personality. I have visited San Diego 3 times always staying 2 weeks each time. My friend made the move in 2020 and he never came back to NY. Ever since I made my first visit. I've got the bug and fantasy of leaving and making it work in San Diego. In terms of work, I'm a youth soccer coach. I suppose there isn't a lot of people that are able to do what I do with optimum efficiency. As I have coaching for 10+ years. I wonder with the upcoming new MLS team, San Diego FC has in store for the soccer community.

The main problem will be what kind of income can you earn as a youth soccer coach? And how tough will the competition be for those jobs?

On the plus side, there are a lot of kids and even adults playing soccer.

What kind of job does your friend have? If the friend is making it with a mediocre job, then great, you may make it too. If your friend is in medical, tech, or something like that, his experience won't translate to your experience.

And before everyone dumps on him about how expensive SD is, and it is, remember that the minimum wage is now $16.85 an hour (I think - I'm not looking it up).
