I had the beach everyday growing up (as a kid I think I thought everyone just walked down the street and went to the beach everyday LOL) and then lived a mile from a national park. But now...
I am definitely grateful to live in such a beautiful city. I live exactly where I want (Hillcrest) and have met some great people ever since I landed here in 1985. No need for me to travel anywhere else since there is so much more for me to explore here. I ain't getting on a plane so I'm pretty much glued to San Diego and happily so.

Travel if possible is healthy for one's mindset

I doubt you would want me on your flight. The idea of being in the air scares the **** out of me. I'm semi healthy and I'm fine with that but thanks for the advice. Carry on.

I think the need for travel varies a lot by person. I'm not a huge traveler either, but last fall, we took an apartment in Washington DC for a month, explore the entire area, even drove up to New York City for a few days, and it was a pretty great way to travel for people who prefer everyday living over sightseeing. But we know people who travel like every few weeks and are restless. I figure our psychees tell us what they need!
