Since this is a rural forum, I am slightly OT, but these fellas are my peace and purpose and what keeps me going.

The sorrel Tennessee Walker on the left will be 30 next month and has been with me since he was 2-1/2. He is a die hard trail horse and been on a lot of trails in a handful of states. He moved cross country with twice.

The seal bay Dutch Warmblood is retired show jumper who was gifted to me two years ago, when my 27 yr old Tennessee Walker passed. His papers didn’t travel with him but everyone’s best guess is that he is 28-ish. I will probably have him at 28-ish for the next five years, lol. I lose track when there aren’t papers to look at, lol.

The foto was March 14th. They are waiting for me to open the gate to the main pasture, so they can get their grazing day started.
Makes me miss mine. My last one passed a couple of years ago. She was 32 and had been with me for 30 of those years. She was the Alpha and Omega.

I am so sorry for your loss. They develop huge personalities and are capable of amazing communication over the years I’m pretty sure we could both write books on that

Thank you. Yes, it is a wonderful experience, IMO, to have an equine companion and I feel blessed to have been able to have that experience for so many years.

But those manual height adjustment mowers blow. I would not buy another one. For me it is worth paying a little more. Still $279 beats $400.

The wheels on these mowers are the worst. After 2-3 years the wheels start flopping around. I finally gave up on my Honda because of the wheels. For some reason they put better wheels on self-propelled and battery powered mowers.
