Does the landfill have any impact on the housing market there? Does it smell in the area after rain etc? I see there is a 623 Landfill Republic Service. I notice this landfill is within 2 miles of Short Pump Mall and the area I'm looking to buy in Glen Allen.

Maybe someone who lives in that area can answer?

The answer is no. You can't smell it.

I live in Wyndham a couple miles as the crow flies from the landfill. Never smelled anything and quite well hidden other than going by it on the freeway

There is a new subdivision that is less than half a mile from the landfill and I noticed the smell from the landfill and crows. The bigger division near the Rivers Edge Elementary and Hollman middle school, I haven't noticed any smell and the air is clean. I dont live near it. Hoping someone who lives there can answer.

The newer subdivision homes are 900k+ and they are nice with decent yard, we are interested in them, but the landfill is a concern.
