2nd home game attendance was less than 2,000 (cool light rain).
3rd home game attendance was less than 1,700 (warm spring night).
Point taken but don't make things up. It wasn't a "light rain" for their 2nd game (it was pouring) and it was in the 40s last night, hardly a warm spring night.

"cool light rain" and "warm spring night" were taken directly from the GoLocal article.
"Rhode Island FC opened on Saturday, March 16, to an opening crowd of more than 4,000 in attendance.
But since then, the crowds have greatly declined.
Their second home game was played in a cool light rain and drew a crowd of less than 2,000 fans on on April 6.
However, more concerning for the team, founded by serial investor and soccer team promoter Brett Johnson, may be the attendance at Saturday night’s match.
The game was played before a crowd counted to be less than 1,700 despite a warm spring night.
I am sure once the weather gets better attendance will start to increase incrementally. I have heard so many positive things from those attending the matches but weather was a factor in a few of them. Just have to give things a chance, much to early for the negativity.

And that should make you question their reporting, if you didn't already. It was 47 last night during the game. I checked. I think if you said warm spring night to most people, they would guess a temperature closer to 68.

A 10,000 seat stadium is being built. Focus on the real issue.
Attendance is measured by the number of tickets sold, not the number of people that show up. They couldn't even sell one third of the tickets for a Saturday night game.
"BEIRNE STADIUM AT BRYANT UNIVERSITY
Capacity – 5,252 (RIFC is bringing in additional seating to create a loud atmosphere to give us a true home field advantage)"
Projo is claiming a very different attendance last night.
"Through five games, RIFC (0-1-4) is still winless in its inaugural season. And Saturday night’s match at Beirne Stadium in front of 3,678 was the club’s best chance to breakthrough to date against Pittsburgh, the only team in the Eastern Conference standings also without a win."

I guess 3,678 (sources: Projo and Wikiipedia) was the number of tickets sold.
The less than 1,700 attendance quoted by GoLocal sounds like an informal headcount of those who showed up.
Go Local sounds like they have an axe to grind
