I've been wondering that as well. I think one of her last threads was about cooking meat without a thermometer post-apocalypse. There were some critical posts and I figured she got PO'd and took time off from posting for a while.
Not a member usually means permanent banning. However, it can also mean a long-term temporary ban based on the point level of the infraction, which generally happens when a poster has a long record of getting infractions for the same violation over and over again. There are always those posters who, when told not to do something, turn right around and do it again out of defiance. For example, if a mod deletes your post as not appropriate for that forum or because you cut and pasted from another site, and then you repost the same damn thing, that can mean suicide by mod when it happens too many times.
