Jacques Pépin is by far my favorite celebrity chef, precisely the opposite and the antidote to this arrogant, shouty, red-faced British chef who seems to be everywhere these days.

He is really getting up there these days - at 88yo, but Pépin is still doing it, still teaching. While he has cooked for kings and presidents, Pépin is not trying to impress anyone, and his lessons are for the everyday lay cook - with most of them both fast and easy :-).

He regularly posts cooking videos on his Facebook page. Not sure how many are new, as in some he talks about eating with his now late wife. They are always short and almost always worth a watch.

I didn't know that Gloria had passed.. I saw an interview of her telling the story of their relationship, what seems like a few years ago. You could tell by the way that they spoke about one another that they were still in love after all those years.

Yes, some of the videos you can see just from the video file quality as well as his appearance are older files. But, if the dish was delicious 10 or 20 years ago, it will still be delicious today :-).

I just like watching them, TBH. He has a very calm and positive way about him, and he does everything so easily and naturally, it's kind of therapeutic for me to watch :-).

Thanks for the hint, I didn't think to see if he had a FB page His was always one of my favorite cooking shows, he never tried to be a 'personality' but was more interested in teaching his viewers and content to let the dish be the star.
